At Alte University, sustainability is embedded across education, research, innovation, campus operations, and community engagement. Guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the university promotes responsible governance, social inclusion, environmental stewardship, and international cooperation as integral elements of its institutional development.
Through its Sustainable Development Strategy 2025–2031, Alte integrates sustainability into academic programs, research initiatives, student entrepreneurship, international partnerships, and everyday campus practices. The university actively contributes to addressing local and global challenges through interdisciplinary learning, applied research, community outreach, and collaborative projects with partners in Georgia and abroad.
As a member of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) and a signatory to the GUNi Declaration on Climate Change, Alte University aligns global commitments with practical action, preparing students and stakeholders to contribute to a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient future. Alte University also participates in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, a global ranking system that evaluates and compares higher education institutions based on their sustainability performance across key areas, including governance, energy efficiency, waste management, water resources, transportation, and education.
This engagement further demonstrates Alte University’s commitment to advancing sustainable development principles and promoting the exchange of international best practices in sustainability.
