Computer Science (English)

The components specified by the undergraduate program in Journalism are designed to ensure that students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for a career in journalism. The program is structured in accordance with the requirements of the National Qualifications Framework (Level 6) and the content outlined by the Classification of Learning Areas. It also reflects trends in the development of the journalism field, the demands of the job market for journalism graduates, and practices observed at universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, and post-Soviet countries.

Admission is based on the results of the Unified National Examinations, as well as other procedures established by Georgian legislation. Additionally, a student may be admitted without taking the Unified National Examinations, in accordance with Georgian law.

Graduates of the undergraduate Journalism program will be equipped to pursue professional careers in both private and public institutions. They will have the opportunity to work in media organizations, including newspapers, magazines, television companies, radio stations, news agencies, media holdings, online publications, and studios producing television and radio content. Additionally, they may find employment in advertising and public relations firms, as well as in government, non-governmental, and private sector organizations, in roles that match their qualifications, such as journalist, correspondent, reporter, junior editor, entry-level media manager, producer, or press officer.&nbsp;Graduates will also be able to apply their knowledge in related fields and pursue further studies to obtain a master's degree.
