The centre fosters an environment where all interested parties can tackle challenges, achieve goals, and succeed in both academic and entrepreneurial endeavors.&nbsp;By promoting a variety of initiatives, we aim to develop entrepreneurial thinking and skills, leadership, and a creative and entrepreneurial spirit within our community.&nbsp;The centre strengthens the connections between academia and industrial practice. By facilitating industry connections and global engagement, we emphasize the importance of intercultural understanding and global citizenship. Our initiatives support the development and commercialization of new technologies and ideas.&nbsp;The centre operates according to ethical standards in all projects and activities and values open communication and the exchange of ideas. Activities of the center:<ul><li>The Start-up Marathon is an annual event organized by the Alte University Business School and the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This unique project aims to raise awareness of entrepreneurship among graduating students, discover innovative start-up ideas, and promote their realization. In cooperation with TBC, Gita, and Entrepreneur Georgia, the project has already been implemented twice, in 2022 and 2023, with around 1,000 students participating. &nbsp;</li><li>Tamashopolia is a one-month game design program implemented by the Alte University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center in collaboration with Gita. During this program, participants had the opportunity to create their own intelligent game. Tamashopolia refers to an educational approach based on the creation of board games, originating from the well-known game Monopoly. Participants learn about idea generation, market research and analysis, design thinking, the use of digital technology tools, content creation, prototyping, customer feedback, general digital marketing principles, and agile and lean startup methodologies. Within the framework of the program, 20 participants were selected to undergo a one-month intensive training course. At the end of the program, each team created games, resulting in a total of 5 games that were presented on demo day. &nbsp;</li><li>Start-up Summer – To raise awareness of entrepreneurship and innovation among young people, the 'Start-up Summer' project was organized by the Alte University Business School and the Center ოფ Entrepreneurship and Innovation. This project involved conducting various activities in different regions of Georgia during the summer of 2022, including: &nbsp;<ul><li>The project 'School Innovators Clubs' was launched in 9 target municipalities of Georgia with the support of the European Union (EU) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in collaboration with the Youth Innovation Center. The purpose of these clubs is to develop the competencies required for employment among graduating students, involving Alte University in the process, and to discover and support innovative entrepreneurial ideas. &nbsp;</li><li>In cooperation with Batumi American Corner and Batumi Technopark, training sessions, mentorship meetings, and a mini-marathon were held in Batumi, on Era Square, from July 27 to August 14. &nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>Moitane.ge is a startup that offers a quick delivery service to customers for their purchased products through both an application and a website. It was created and developed with the support of the Alte University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center. During the initial stages of the startup, Alte University provided the necessary space for the Moitane.ge team to optimize resources as they developed their business. &nbsp;</li><li>Artificial Intelligence in Schools – This project by the Alte University School of Information Technologies and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center aims to train school teachers in the effective use of artificial intelligence techniques. The project began in the spring of 2024 and is set to conclude in the fall of the same year.</li></ul>

Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship

&nbsp;Center for Law and Economics (CoLE)&nbsp;&nbsp;The Center for Law and Economics is a structural unit established jointly by the School of Law at Alte University and the Faculty of Law at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. It was founded on May 1, 2018, with the goal of stimulating and monitoring legislative, scientific, and practical processes in the fields of law and economic policy. The center aims to effectively address problems and challenges, engage in lobbying, inform the public, and disseminate research findings to relevant stakeholders.&nbsp;The primary focus of the Center for Law and Economics is to create a substantive discourse based on interdisciplinary research in law and economic policy. It seeks to facilitate the development of feedback among interested parties through a discussion and teaching-oriented format. This activity is conducted with adherence to principles of competence, transparency, high academic and scientific standards, and professional ethics.&nbsp;The mission of the Center is to establish an interdisciplinary environment focused on current issues in law and economic policy. This environment will foster idea generation from diverse disciplinary perspectives. It will actively involve members of the scientific community, practicing lawyers and economists, as well as young researchers and students.&nbsp;The Center operates primarily in two major areas. The first area is research-oriented and focuses on scientific components, with particular attention given to interconnected, adjacent, and closely related research topics. The primary focus in this regard is on the legal paradigm crucial to economic relations within the country: economic law. Law, especially economic law, is a cognitive phenomenon that cannot be considered in isolation from other social domains and systems. Therefore, the core research direction of the center is the scientific study of the close connection between these two social domains, which will ultimately contribute to achieving synergy effects in the country.&nbsp;The second major area of the Center involves creating a discussion forum. The idea behind the discussion forum is to stimulate intensive dialogue among representatives of the scientific community, the judiciary, lawyers, individuals interested in economic-legal issues, and students on current and problematic issues in law and economic policy.&nbsp;The format of discussions organized by the Center is diverse and includes academic forums, scientific-practical conferences, round tables, and public lectures conducted by Georgian and foreign professors. Annual forums are held, and proceedings based on the presentations are published for the years 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023.

Center for Law and Economics

The aim of the center is to promote the implementation of modern standard processes at the university, strengthen educational programs with the latest technological components, and develop new technological educational programs and training courses that utilize digital capabilities. In order to implement the latest methodologies of digital transformation in Georgia, the center cooperates with both local and foreign partners in various fields, including education, healthcare, the technological-engineering industry, public administration, and business. In accordance with the university's third mission statement, the Digital Transformation Center, in active cooperation with the schools of Alte University and with the involvement of international partners, initiates and implements projects to raise awareness of technology and digital opportunities in society. The center actively works to empower women in technology and promote technological education in the regions. In the near future, the Digital Transformation Center plans to evolve into a consultancy to help Georgian organizations raise awareness of digital transformation and access the latest information, enabling them to utilize the knowledge gained to improve their business processes. Activities of the Digital Transformation Center at Alte University:&nbsp;<ul><li>From November 2022 to March 2023, the Digital Transformation Center and the School of Medicine at Alte University executed a project funded by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, titled “Medical Technologies in Schools.” This project involved Georgian scientists and researchers based abroad, including Davit Managadze from DNANexus (California), Zaza Chitishvili from Calico (California), Temur Gochitashvili, a PhD student in Synthetic Biology at the Max Planck Institute and iGEM Ambassador (Leipzig), and Ana Tomasi from the Illinois Institute of Technology (Chicago).&nbsp;</li><li>In 2022, under the leadership of Nana Dikhamiendzhia, the Digital Transformation Center at Alte University was granted the rights to conduct the TECHNOVATION GIRLS project in Georgia. Technovation Girls is an annual event held in 60 countries worldwide, aimed at preparing girls aged 13 to 18 for programming and entrepreneurship, and identifying technological solutions to the problems they encounter. One cycle of the project was completed from October 2022 to August 2023, with the next cycle commencing in November 2023.&nbsp;</li><li>The project “Developing Opportunities for Smart Transformation of Rural Areas” is supported by the European Union (EU) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through the European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD). In partnership with the Innovative Education Foundation and Alte University, Nana Dikhamiendzhia, Director of the Digital Transformation Center, and Associate Professor Salome Oniani prepared materials on technological development in agriculture and conducted 12 lectures with farmers in Lagodekhi, Khulo, Kazbegi, and Keda. As part of the project, an AgriTech conference was held at Alte University on October 8, 2022.&nbsp;</li><li>On June 29, 2022, the Digital Transformation Center at Alte University, organized by Director Nana Dikhamiendzhia, hosted a WEB 3.0 conference. The conference, titled "Digital Transformation Forum of Georgia 2022," featured both Georgian and international experts.&nbsp;</li><li>On September 27, 2022, Nana Dikhamiendzhia, Director of the Digital Transformation Center, spoke at a webinar organized in collaboration with the Consulate General of Georgia in San Francisco, BoomStartUp Accelerator, and the Gender Equality Council of the Parliament of Georgia. The webinar, titled "Global Trends and Opportunities for Women in Technology and Investment Sectors," included discussions on empowering women in technology with professors from Ohio University, investors, and founders of accelerators.&nbsp;</li><li>In April 2022, Nana Dikhamiendzhia represented Alte University at a conference organized by Globalize in Silicon Valley, where she led two panels: “Opportunities for Commercializing Science” and “Women in Technology.”&nbsp;</li><li>In June 2022, Nana Dikhamiendzhia led a panel on “Digital Transformation Trends” at a conference organized by Globalize in Paris.&nbsp;</li><li>In 2022, Nana Dikhamiendzhia conducted an online lecture on climate change technologies for a project supported by the Georgian diaspora in Germany.
