<ul><li><a href="https://alte.edu.ge/en/as-part-of-the-cif-grant-competition-alte-university-conducted-three-significant-training-sessions">2025 - Integrating Innovative Agrotechnologies into Educational Programs (CIF)</a> &nbsp;</li></ul>The CIF grant-funded project aimed to integrate innovative agrotechnologies into educational programs. Implemented in partnership with the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, the project supported three different types of activities, including training sessions and online meetings on drones, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, smart greenhouses, and digital winemaking, under the framework of the School of Computer Sciences at Alte University. &nbsp;At the final stage, a student camp was held at Telavi State University named after Iakob Gogebashvili. Transportation, accommodation, and meals were fully covered for students from 12 Georgian universities and one partner university. &nbsp;During the five-day camp, participants attended lectures, engaged in practical activities, and took part in networking opportunities and cultural outings. Upon completion, each participant received a certificate of participation. &nbsp;<ul><li><a href="https://alte.edu.ge/en/medtech-hackathon-has-successfully-concluded">2025 - MedHackathon</a> &nbsp;</li></ul>MedHackathon was a two-day hackathon for school students, preceded by three days of online training in leadership, artificial intelligence, and medical technologies. &nbsp;The goal of the project was to develop innovative thinking and address real medical challenges using AI technologies and creative solutions. Students worked in teams on topics such as diagnostics, medication management and control, and patient data analysis, under the mentorship of Alte University students and lecturers. Teams were evaluated based on the quality of their presentations and the feasibility of implementing their ideas. &nbsp;<ul><li><a href="https://alte.edu.ge/en/nasa-space-apps-challenge-2025-zugdidi-has-concluded">2025 - Nasa Space Apps Hackathon</a> &nbsp;</li></ul>In 2025, Alte University hosted the Zugdidi local edition of the NASA Space Apps Challenge and served as the local lead of the event. Under the umbrella of the University’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Alte University was fully responsible for the organization, coordination, and alignment of the hackathon with the international format. &nbsp;During the hackathon, young participants and students worked with real data provided by NASA and developed innovative ideas in the fields of technology, data analysis, and science. &nbsp;Alte University’s involvement aimed to promote STEM fields, identify local talent, and activate the innovation ecosystem in the Zugdidi region. Participants had the opportunity to present their projects on an international platform and take part in the global competition process. &nbsp;As part of the event, Alte University’s student team “Skill Issue” was named among the global nominees. Their project, “Sateliko,” was selected from more than 11,500 initiatives worldwide and was developed within the Commercializing Low Earth Orbit (LEO) challenge with mentorship from Alte University lecturers. The project represents a remote automated workshop that enables the production of reusable nanosatellites and allows the study of low Earth orbit without the need for rocket launches. &nbsp;<ul><li><a href="https://alte.edu.ge/en/the-2-day-arduino-hackathon-organized-by-alte-universitys-it-school-has-successfully-concluded">2024 - Arduino Hackathon</a> &nbsp;</li></ul>The Arduino Hackathon was a two-day course delivered over three weeks for 11th–12th grade students, focusing on electronics, programming, and innovative problem-solving. &nbsp;The goal was to promote STEM fields and develop engineering thinking. Students worked in teams on ideas, code, and prototypes. Sessions were led by Alte University students, who later continued supporting participants as mentors. The winning team, “Walle,” received a cash prize to support the implementation of their idea. &nbsp;<ul><li><a href="https://alte.edu.ge/en/artificial-intelligence-at-school-training-sessions-for-teachers-are-starting">2024 - Artificial Intelligence in Schools</a> &nbsp;</li></ul>“Artificial Intelligence in Schools” is a joint project of Alte University’s IT School and the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The project focuses on training school teachers in the effective use of artificial intelligence in educational practice. &nbsp;<ul><li>2023 - Chino &nbsp;</li></ul>“Chino” is a start-up founded by Alte University students that produces eco-friendly educational toys. The project aims to raise awareness among parents about the role of play in child development and to create toys that support the development of various skills. &nbsp;<ul><li>2022 - START-UP Summer &nbsp;</li></ul>“Start-up Summer” is an initiative of Alte University’s Business School and the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, implemented in 2022 across various regions of Georgia. The project included training sessions, mentoring meetings, and innovative activities aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and innovation among young people. &nbsp;<ul><li>2022 - Gameopoly &nbsp;</li></ul>Gameopoly is a one-month educational program in game design, implemented by Alte University’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in collaboration with GITA. The program is based on the principles of board game development and enables participants to create their own intellectual games, from idea to prototype. &nbsp;As a result of the intensive one-month course, 20 participants developed five games, which were presented on Demo Day. &nbsp;<ul><li>2021 - Moitane.ge &nbsp;</li></ul>Moitane.ge is a digital platform (website and mobile application) that offers users a fast delivery service for purchased products. The start-up was developed with the support of Alte University’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, which also provided the team with a workspace during the early stage.
