Alte University Conference: “Sustainable Development Goals: Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation”


On June 15-16, Alte University will host a scientific conference dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  

The event spans two days and is structured according to its target audiences:

 

  • June 15 – “Sustainable Development Goals: Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation” - The first day is dedicated to academic staff and researchers. During these sessions, researchers and practitioners will present and discuss research findings, ideas, and practical insights.

 

  • June 16 – “Sustainable Development Goals: Student Research and Innovation” - The second day is fully dedicated to the student conference. As part of the program, an interactive workshop titled "SDG Solutions - Idea Generation Workshop" will be held. This workshop is designed to help students generate innovative solutions and develop projects focused on sustainable development goals.

    Workshop participants will have 1.5 months to refine and process their ideas. In July, a Pitching Presentation will be held (on-site or online). The winning team will represent Georgia at the Regional Semifinals of the Sustainability Olympiad, competing against the best student teams in Europe. Alte University will provide travel funding for the winning team.

     

Conference Objective

 

Alte University conference “Sustainable Development Goals: Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation” aims to explore the role and significance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the development of contemporary societies.

 

The conference seeks to promote the exchange of scientific and practical experience, encourage interdisciplinary dialogue, and support innovative research approaches addressing economic, social, technological and environmental challenges.

 

The event will provide an academic platform where researchers and practitioners from diverse disciplines can present and discuss research findings, ideas and practical experiences related to sustainable development.
