Alte University successfully hosted an online meeting - “Can We Learn Without Experiencing? What Educational Simulation Is and How It Can Transform Teaching and Learning”.
The session was led by Mr. Avihu Sofer, Head of the Simulation Center at Gordon Academic College of Education (Haifa, Israel), social entrepreneur, and expert in informal education, leadership, and public policy.
During the lecture, Mr. Sofer introduced the concept of educational simulation and explored how simulation-based learning can enhance reflection, professional judgment, and practical skills in academic and professional education. The discussion highlighted the role of simulation as a powerful tool for meaningful learning beyond traditional teaching methods.
The event was attended by Giorgi Gabisonia, Dean of the International Medical School, Ruso Sanadze, Dean of the Information Technologies School, and managers from both schools.The meeting was concluded with an engaging Q&A session, allowing participants to exchange ideas and reflect on the practical application of simulation in educational settings.
