Fundamentals on Environmental, Social and Governance Issues (ESG)

  • Who is this course for? 

the course is designed for professionals employed in large companies in the private sector who are interested in how their activities can support ESG and sustainable development goals. 

  • Course Overview 

The course aims to raise awareness and knowledge in the ESG direction and deepen theoretical and practical skills. After completing the course, participants will be able to visualize ESG issues in the context of their activities and discuss how the needs of their organizations can be adapted to ESG practices. 

The course also includes topics such as: 

  • Sustainable financial instruments; (e.g. green, social and sustainable loans) 
  • Methodologies and frameworks used for integration of ESG into decision-making 
  • Main global initiatives; (e.g. principles of responsible banking and initiatives, disclosure issues related to environmental, social factors and governance) 
  • ESG regulatory environment both globally and at the country level. 

     

  • Trainer 

Levan Gogoladze – ESG and Sustainable Financing Projects Coordinator at the "Banking Association of Georgia". He has 16 years of experience in providing business consultations and conducting trainings in various sectors. In 2023, he successfully completed a 6-month certification course at the Corporate Governance Institute, UK in ESG direction (Diploma in ESG). He also holds an international certificate in risk management from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and is the author of several textbooks in financial education. LinkedIn

Course Duration 

The course consists of 15 contact hours.
