University of Warmia and Mazury

University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn was formed in 1999 from the merger of several regional institutions and now stands as one of northeastern Poland's major universities. It offers bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, and medical degrees across agriculture, veterinary and human medicine, engineering, economics, humanities, social sciences, environmental science, and natural science programs.

As of January 2024, UWM joined the ChallengeEU European Universities alliance, promoting student and staff mobility, joint degree development, and collaborative research. The university also participates in Erasmus+ and works closely with local government and industry to support regional innovation and technology transfer.

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Alte University and University of Warmia and Mazury. The collaboration offers diverse opportunities for students, academic, and administrative staff to gain international experience. The agreement between the universities will facilitate the organization of exchange programs for academic staff and students, joint research projects, exchange of teaching materials and literature, as well as the development of joint academic programs.
