The University of Alicante

The University of Alicante was formally established in October 1979, evolving from the University Study Centre (CEU) created in 1968. The university offers a wide array of bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs spanning disciplines such as social sciences, technology, humanities, law, health sciences, and more, supported by numerous departments and research institutes.

One of UA’s core strengths lies in its robust international engagement and mobility programs. It offers diverse Erasmus+, DRAC, SICUE, and other global mobility initiatives serving both European and non-European students and staff, with over 300 partnerships worldwide. Notably, UA has entered a premier mobility agreement with the University of California system, allowing its students to study at 9 of UC’s 10 campuses and reciprocally hosting UC students at UA - a unique arrangement shared by only two other Spanish universities.

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Alte University and The University of Alicante. The collaboration offers diverse opportunities for students, academic, and administrative staff to gain international experience. The agreement between the universities will facilitate the organization of exchange programs for academic staff and students, joint research projects, exchange of teaching materials and literature, as well as the development of joint academic programs.
