The finalist of the Alte University Startup Marathon is in the finals of Jita's 150,000 GEL grant program.

Zura Tsiklauri is a 17-year-old entrepreneur from Gurjaani, who was a finalist in the Alte University Startup Marathon. He is now competing in the finals of Jita's 150,000 GEL grant program with his startup idea.

Zura gained foundational knowledge in technology, graphic design, and website development at IT Academy STEP in Telavi at the age of 12. Over the next four years, he participated in all projects related to technology and business at the Gurjaani Technopark.

During the Alte University Startup Marathon, Zura consulted with experienced trainers and entrepreneurs. With their assistance, he refined his idea and laid the groundwork for its future development. The training sessions at Alte University, along with the knowledge and connections he gained, facilitated his next steps.

Zura's idea is to create an application called "Ekstera," which will simplify the process of selecting actors for large-scale productions. It will enable production companies to move away from outdated, lengthy, and cumbersome selection techniques. The application aims to make the hiring and management of actors twice as fast and seven times cheaper. Additionally, it will allow anyone to earn extra income and gain access to film sets.

Zura's team is already collaborating with several Georgian production companies, where they are validating their idea with a simple prototype. If the grant is approved, they plan to develop a full version of the application and initially launch it in the Georgian and Indian markets.
