Medical University of Plovdiv, established in 1945, is a public medical institution in Bulgaria . It comprises four faculties - Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy, Public Health - along with a College and a Department of Languages & Specialized Training, providing undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs.
The university holds the Erasmus University Charter and has more than 150 Erasmus+ agreements with universities worldwide. It is a leading Bulgarian research center with established labs such as the Simulation Training Centre, Neuro‑science Lab, Laser Dental Medicine Centre, and contributes a high volume of publications and international scientific collaborations.
A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Alte University and Medical University of Plovdiv. The collaboration offers diverse opportunities for students, academic, and administrative staff to gain international experience. The agreement between the universities will facilitate the organization of exchange programs for academic staff and students, joint research projects, exchange of teaching materials and literature, as well as the development of joint academic programs.
