Medical Tech Education for High School Girls

On November 9, the project "Medical Tech Education for High School Girls" for 9th-12th grade girls was launched at Alte University, funded by the US Embassy's Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund and in partnership with the US Embassy's International Exchange Alumni Associations.


One hundred girls were selected to participate in the project, who will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the modern achievements of bioengineering and medical technologies, learn the basics of electronics based on Arduino, learn about the capabilities of artificial intelligence in medicine and, with the help of mentors, work on the creation of prototypes of medical devices.


During the first meeting, the participants got acquainted with the project schedule and future plans.


Team activities were led by the project manager - Mariam Janjghava.


The meeting ended with a panel discussion, where the representative of the project implementation team - Davit Chechelashvili and the scientific coordinator - Nana Dikhaminjia spoke about the importance of medical and biotechnologies and the future opportunities of biotechnological entrepreneurship in Georgia.
