Ilia Botsvadze

Dean of the Business School

Ilia Botsvadze holds a PhD in Business Administration and is a higher education management professional with over 15 years of experience in academia. Throughout his career, he has held a wide range of teaching, research, and administrative leadership positions at leading universities in Tbilisi. His expertise includes institutional leadership, quality assurance in higher education, academic program development, and university governance.

 

He earned his PhD in Business Administration (specializing in Finance) from the International Black Sea University and holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance from Marmara University (Istanbul, Türkiye). He also holds two bachelor's degrees, one in Finance and Banking and another in Engineering Sciences, both awarded in Tbilisi, Georgia.

 

Dr. Botsvadze has participated in numerous international scientific conferences, workshops, and professional training programs in the fields of business administration, finance, management, and higher education administration.

 

He has authored and co-authored scientific publications published in both Georgian and international peer-reviewed journals.

 

Dr. Botsvadze is a member of the expert panel for Higher Education Program Accreditation and the Institutional Authorization of Higher Education Institutions at the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE) of Georgia.

 

He also serves as a member of the Sectoral Council for the Development of Higher Education Programs in Finance and Banking, as well as Accounting and Taxation.

 

Alongside his administrative and research activities, Dr. Botsvadze has been actively engaged in university teaching for many years, contributing to students' professional development and fostering critical thinking across higher education institutions.
