Giorgi Takadze on a Research Visit to the United States

Giorgi Takadze, an affiliated assistant professor at Alte University, is currently undertaking a two-month research visit to The University of Texas at Dallas in Dallas.

The visit is supported by the grant program “Promotion of Qualification Improvement Abroad 2025–2026 II” of the International Education Center and aims to support the researcher’s professional development within an international academic environment.

During the research visit, Giorgi Takadze is working at the Space Science Laboratory at the University of Texas at Dallas, where he is studying fast transit events in cosmic ray neutron data and their modeling using modern analytical approaches. The research is based on advanced machine learning and data analysis methods, including the HAVOK methodology.

Within the research process, particular attention is devoted to the processing and forecasting of long-term datasets, their integration with space weather parameters, as well as the analysis of Forbush Decrease events and the testing of forecasting models.

The results of the research are planned to be presented at the international scientific conference Ultrafast Phenomena 2026 and subsequently published in an international peer-reviewed scientific journal.

Alte University wishes Giorgi Takadze continued success in his current research activities and further professional development.
