When choosing a university, applicants and their families focus on several key factors: the quality of education, the lecturers, the environment, and, of course, the financial side. This last point often plays a deciding role in the final choice, especially when they have to choose between several alternatives.
With this in mind, Alte University’s financial support programs operate in several directions. These opportunities are intended for different categories of students and cover not only applicants and active students, but also their family members and employees.
Discounted tuition for applicants and students
The university offers applicants and students discounted tuition terms. The amount of funding and the conditions vary, but the shared goal stays the same: to support strong motivation and academic achievement.
Who can receive full tuition funding?
Applicants who place in the top 1000 on the Unified National Examinations and list Alte University as their first choice will have their first-year tuition fully covered. This model applies no matter which field they choose, whether it is the Business Administration program, the Law program, or another one.
Furthermore, additional funding opportunities are now available: the top 10 applicants enrolled in Alte University's Medical program will have 100% of their tuition covered by Vian. Additionally, National Olympiad winners who enroll in the Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Business programs will also receive 100% funding for their studies.
Finally, applicants for the Business, Computer Science, and Artificial Intelligence programs who score 60% or more of the maximum points in elective subjects (Physics or Mathematics) will also be eligible for a 100% tuition waiver.
What benefit do medal winners receive?
Applicants who hold gold or silver medals and name Alte University as their first priority will receive 50% funding for their first year of study.
Who can receive additional support?
The university also takes into account the interests and needs of other categories of students. In particular, applicants who take first or second place in competitions organized by the university will receive a tuition benefit for the first year, as set by the President’s order. These support options apply to all programs, including popular fields such as the Psychology program and Computer Science.
In addition, a 10% discount applies to students who continue to the next academic level at Alte University after completing one academic stage there. The children of the university’s graduates receive the same benefit.
What conditions apply to family members and employees?
If one or more of a student’s family members, for example a sister, brother, child, or spouse, is also a student at the same university, each of them will receive a 10% tuition discount.
University employees and their family members have the opportunity to receive 50% funding toward tuition.
It should also be noted that if a student meets the requirements for more than one category at the same time, the condition that is most favorable to them will apply.
Earn the Dean’s Grant for high academic achievement
The Dean’s Grant is an opportunity students earn during their studies through their own academic results. Each year, within every school, the five students with the best academic performance receive the Dean’s Grant, which is awarded in the form of full or partial funding.
The grant can be used for bachelor’s programs, as well as master’s and one-cycle programs. In schools where both levels are offered, two of the five grant places are set aside specifically for master’s students.
The Dean’s Grant is funded by the Alte University Foundation, which was created in 2021 to increase access to education and encourage academic excellence. Of the donations gathered in the fund, 30% stays in reserve, 30% of the remaining amount goes to research projects, while 70% is directed straight to funding students’ tuition.
Use the opportunity to fund international activities
Alongside academic support, Alte University also actively helps students gain international experience. Students and staff have the chance to use internal university funding and take part in international summer or winter schools, educational camps, forums, and other important projects.
To receive funding in this direction, a student must meet several required criteria. First, their academic performance must be at least a 3.0 GPA. As for students with a GPA between 2.5 and 2.9, their application is considered only in cases of special achievements and proper justification. At the same time, the applicant must have active status in the current semester, and there must be no record of a breach of academic integrity.
The application process requires the preparation of documents such as a motivation letter, a lecturer’s recommendation, a CV, a transcript, and a certificate confirming language proficiency. The documents must be submitted to the university at least four weeks before the project’s financial registration deadline.
Applications are reviewed by a special commission. For students, the evaluation criteria are divided as follows: academic performance is worth 30 points, the CV 20 points, motivation 20 points, recommendation 20 points, and language competence 10 points. Based on the total score, the commission decides whether to award full or partial funding.
One more detail should be kept in mind: a student funded under these rules cannot use the same type of support again during the current and following semester.
