Bharath institute of higher education and research

Bharath University originated in 1984 as Bharath Institute of Science & Technology and was granted deemed university status in July 2002 by India’s UGC. The institution spans six campuses in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and hosts nearly 10,000 students across engineering, medicine (including dentistry, nursing, physiotherapy), management, law, science, and the humanities. 

 

BIHER holds notable international accreditation, including the first ABET accreditation for a private Indian university in 2018, along with NAAC, NBA, and ISO credentials. It has over 350 global MoUs, supporting faculty and student exchange, research collaborations, and internship programs. Its modern research centres span fields from digital forensics to nanomaterials, underscoring its commitment to innovation and practical education. 

 

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Alte University and BIHER. The collaboration offers diverse opportunities for students, academic, and administrative staff to gain international experience. The agreement between the universities will facilitate the organization of exchange programs for academic staff and students, joint research projects, exchange of teaching materials and literature, as well as the development of joint academic programs.
