Alte University Hosted the Georgian Final of the International Championship of Mathematical and Logical Games

On May 30, Alte University hosted the Georgian Final of the International Championship of Mathematical and Logical Games.

 

This year marked Georgia’s first participation in the championship, which has a 40-year history and was founded in 1986 by the French Federation of Mathematical Games (FFJM). Today, the competition brings together participants from numerous countries around the world.

 

The championship aims to promote mathematics and foster logical thinking skills. It provides participants of different ages with the opportunity to challenge themselves and compete at an international level.

 

The tournament consists of eight age categories, including five categories for school students, one for university students, and two for adult enthusiasts and professionals.

 

A total of 320 participants qualified for the Georgian Final. The winners will represent Georgia at the International Final, which will take place on July 25–26 in Milan, Italy.

 

Alte University awarded educational scholarships to graduating school students who achieved the highest scores in the competition.

 

The championship is organized by the Komaroveli Club Association and the Federation of Mathematical and Logical Games. The initiative is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Komarovi School and aims to establish the championship as an annual tradition in Georgia.
