As part of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Programme, representatives of Alte University’s School of Law and Social Sciences and School of Business — Professor Nana Mchedlidze, Associate Professor Zurab Gvelesiani, Associate Professor Davit Kikvidze, and Dean of the IT School Ruso Sanadze - participated in the International Academic Week (IAW2026) organized by EKA University of Applied Sciences in Riga, Latvia.
The International Academic Week aimed to promote the exchange of experience among higher education institutions, provide insights into global trends in education, and strengthen institutional partnerships and international collaboration.
During the visit, Alte University representatives delivered public lectures and workshops aligned with the host university’s academic programs. As part of the event, Ruso Sanadze introduced Alte University to the international audience and delivered a lecture titled “Bridging Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Soft Skills Development in Higher Education.” Associate Professor Zurab Gvelesiani also delivered a lecture titled “Regulating Business Conduct: Consumer Protection and Competition Rules in Market Transactions.”
Alongside the academic activities, Alte University staff participated in the international scientific conference etECH2026. During the conference, Professor Nana Mchedlidze presented her research paper titled “Environmental Protection and Human Rights Under the European Convention on Human Rights: Balancing Competing Interests.”
Participation in the programme provided a valuable opportunity for sharing international experience and best practices. The knowledge, insights, and expertise gained through the mobility visit will contribute to strengthening the professional capacities of Alte University’s academic staff and support the continuous enhancement of teaching and research quality through the application of international approaches and innovative practices.
