10th National Scientific Conference in Poland

On November 16-17, with the support of the University of Bydgoszcz in Poland, the 10th National Scientific Conference was held in the city of Uniejow, where Doctor of Economics, Assistant Professor at the Business School of Alte University, Giga Kikoria participated.

At the 10th anniversary scientific conference, entitled "Competitiveness and development of regions in the conditions of European integration and globalization. Situation - trends - strategies" together with representatives of Alte University, 30 speakers from Poland took part.

Professor Giga Kikoria presented an article at the conference entitled: "Long-term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on supply chains using the examples of Poland, Georgia and Turkey." The co-authors of the article are Marek Sikora from Poland, Basak Cetingeki from Turkey and Zezva Sanikidze from Tbilisi State University.

As part of the research, 106 active organizations from Poland, 140 from Georgia and 112 from Turkey were interviewed. Research participants spoke about the nature and causes of supply chain disruptions within their company. The results indicate that among the sampled organizations, there were no statistically significant differences by country in terms of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The article has passed the examination and will be published by the end of 2024 in the refereed journal - Scientific Papers of Silesian University of Technology – Organization and Management Series
