1. What is Erasmus+ and why should I participate?
Erasmus+ is an educational program of the European Union that gives you the opportunity to study for one or two semesters at a partner university in Europe.
By participating, you will gain:

- Personal growth and increased independence
2. Who can participate?
The program is open to all active Bachelor’s and Master’s students of Alte University who meet the following criteria:
- Fulfill the minimum requirements of the announced mobility program
- Have a minimum English language proficiency of B1 level
3. How does the mobility process start?
- Internal university registration (application form, motivation letter, and recommendation letter)
- Proof of English language proficiency (minimum B1 level)
- If selected: communication with the partner university, completion of the Learning Agreement, and preparation of necessary documents
4. What if I don’t have an international language certificate?
If you do not have an IELTS/TOEFL or other recognized certificate and your language proficiency is not reflected in your transcript, Alte University will organize an internal English language test.
5. Who will support me during the mobility?
Alte University will assist you with:
- Collecting and uploading the required documents correctly
- Filling out the Learning Agreement
- Preparing official letters and necessary statements
The partner university will provide:
- Academic planning and administrative support
- Assistance in finding accommodation
- Participation in the orientation week
- Buddy Program/ESN support
6. Can I change my study courses at the host university?
Yes, changes to the Learning Agreement are possible with the agreement of both the host and home universities. However, this should be done at the beginning of the semester.
7. What happens if I don’t earn the required credits?
If you fail to collect the agreed number of credits, you may need to take additional courses at Alte University to fulfill the academic requirements of your study program on time.
8. What happens after I return?
- You will receive a Transcript of Records from the host university
- You will need to have it translated and notarized
- You will coordinate course recognition with the University Quality Assurance Office
- Submit documents to the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement for credit recognition
9. How important is it to meet deadlines?
Meeting deadlines is very important. Delays in application submission, document preparation, or visa processes may hinder your participation or result in disqualification from the mobility program.
