Through the strategic partnership of Liberty Bank, Softgen, and Alte University, the South Caucasus Semifinal of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) World Championship was held among higher education institutions in Georgia.
ICPC is considered one of the most prestigious global student technology competitions, evaluating young programmers’ technical competence, teamwork, and their ability to make effective decisions under high-pressure conditions.
The ICPC semifinal, which brought together more than 250 teams, was hosted simultaneously in four cities, including Tbilisi.
A total of 49 teams competed in the semifinal held in Georgia. Participants included representatives of Georgian universities, as well as teams from higher education institutions in Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkmenistan.
For Alte University, partnering with ICPC represents an opportunity to strengthen technological education, foster a culture of research, support innovation, and enhance students’ international engagement. The university will continue to support young programmers in the future.
