Erasmus+ BIP Competition for Computer Science Undergraduate Students

Alte University is pleased to announce a call for applications for the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), hosted by Algebra Bernays University in Zagreb, Croatia.
 

This short-term Erasmus+ blended program combines online and on-site learning components. It offers students an in-depth conceptual introduction to information security, algorithms, networks, and the fundamentals of modern technology. During the program, students will work on conceptual and visual models, scenario-based simulations, and team tasks to analyze and understand the core algorithms, protocols, and defense mechanisms of secure digital systems.
 

What Students Will Learn:

  • Foundations of secure and algorithmic thinking.
  • The logic behind information and network operations.
  • Structural principles of modern secure systems.
  • Working in a team-based, international academic environment.
  • Applying theoretical knowledge to practical and conceptual scenarios.

  • Virtual Component: April 13–17, 2026 (Online via MS Teams)
  • Physical Mobility (Zagreb): May 4–8, 2026

Erasmus+ Financial Support:
 

The grant is intended to cover travel, accommodation, meals, and daily expenses during the physical mobility period in Zagreb.
 

  • Travel Support: €395
  • Individual Support: €553
  • Additional Support for Students with Fewer Opportunities: €100
  • Total Grant: €948 (or €1,048 for students with fewer opportunities).
     

Note: 70% of the grant is issued after signing the agreement; the remaining 30% is issued after completion and filling out the EU Survey.

 

Eligibility Criteria:
 

Applicants must be Alte University students who:
 

  • Are enrolled in the Computer Science Undergraduate Program.
  • Have completed at least one semester.
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.
  • Possess English language proficiency of at least B1 level (CEFR), proven by:
     
    • International certificates (IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo, etc.); OR
    • Completion of Alte University English courses (min. B1.2 level); OR
    • At least 20 ECTS credits earned in English-taught courses; OR
    • Passing Alte University’s internal English language test.

  2. Motivation Letter (Max. 1 page) – Outline your motivation, expected results, and how this fits your academic/professional goals.
  3. Transcript of Records
  4. Proof of English Proficiency
  5. Copy of Passport or ID Card
  6. Name of one Reference (Academic staff from Alte University whose course you have completed).
