Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport is a regional university established by the Arab League in 1972, with campuses in Alexandria, Cairo, Sharjah, Port Said, Aswan, Latakia, and Smart Village. It offers bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, and DBA programs in areas including marine transport, engineering, management, computing, AI, fisheries, archaeology, pharmacy, dentistry, medicine, and law.
AASTMT holds international accreditation (ABET, AACSB, FIBAA, ACBSP, ACPE), and has academic partnerships with top global universities such as the University of London (LSE), University of Hull, Coventry University, Cardiff Metropolitan University, University of Plymouth, and Università di Genova. It also offers a growing number of online and blended master’s programs, like the recent collaboration with Steinbeis University on Data Analytics and AI, and engages in maritime training, research, and sustainable port development with agencies such as the UAE Federal Transport Authority.
A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Alte University and AASTMT. The collaboration offers diverse opportunities for students, academic, and administrative staff to gain international experience. The agreement between the universities will facilitate the organization of exchange programs for academic staff and students, joint research projects, exchange of teaching materials and literature, as well as the development of joint academic programs.
