Success in politics, business, sports, or personal life often doesn't come from knowledge alone - what truly matters is how we think: proactively, strategically, and thoughtfully. This is exactly the kind of mindset Alte University’s new summer school, “Game Theory – for Strategic Thinking”, aims to develop.
Alte University offers a one-week intensive course tailored specifically for high school students. The course focuses on enhancing strategic, critical, and creative thinking skills and, through the principles of game theory, helps form a type of thinking that supports success in real-life situations.
What is Game Theory?
Game theory is the science of making strategic decisions. It helps us understand how people think, behave, and structure their relationships in real life - whether it’s in politics, business, economics, sports, or simply friendships.
Using game theory techniques, young people will learn how to make optimal and effective decisions, anticipate others’ behavior in specific scenarios, and develop logical and strategic thinking.
Anyone who understands the principles of game theory gains insight into the strategic logic behind human behavior and can apply this knowledge to succeed in various areas of life.
As course lecturer Vasil Revishvili explains:
“At first glance, game theory looks like a game, but in reality, it is the science of rational decision-making. The goal of this course is not only for students to learn the rules, but to start thinking strategically - to anticipate the moves of other ‘players,’ understand their own actions, and develop a solid plan. These skills provide real advantages, both in professional and personal life, and I would recommend their development to everyone.”
