For students interested in physics, mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering, the Bank of Georgia, in collaboration with the Komarov School, is launching the STEM Olympiad for the second year in a row.
This year, the project is supported by Alte University!
More than 130 schools have registered to participate in the STEM Olympiad.
The theoretical round of the Olympiad was held on the Alte University campus on April 13. During this round, three students from each school's team of five (grades VII–XI) worked on the math test, while two tackled the physics test. Soon, the 10 top-performing schools will be announced and invited to compete in the final round.
Twenty consultation meetings will be held with the finalist teams. As part of these sessions, students and their mentors will undergo an intensive training course led by specialists from the Komarov School.
The goal of the STEM Olympiad is to promote interest in and awareness of STEM subjects among both students and teachers.
