A "Debate, Negotiation and Public Speaking Club" has been set up at Alte University, headed by Khatuna Pantsulaia, a law school student.
The club's purpose is to develop students' skills in critical thinking, self-confident communication, emotion control, healthy argumentation, teamwork, and oratory through various activities.
The club has planned several significant activities in which participating students will gain theoretical knowledge as well as practical experience on a variety of issues.
- At the Debate, Negotiation, and Public Speaking Club initiative, training was conducted on the topic of Karl Popper format debates. The training was led by Rusudan Jamaspishvili, Director of the International Relations Department of Alte University. As part of the training, students received comprehensive information about the Karl Popper format debate.
- On may 12, the Karl Popper Format Student Debate on the topic of Privatization of Public Services was initiated by the Debate, Negotiation, and Public Speaking Club. Alte University students were participating in the debate, who were divided into four modest teams, from which jury members identified two finalist teams.
- On May 27, at the initiative of the Debate, Negotiation, and Public Speaking Club, the final of the Karl Popper Format Student Debate was held on the topic: Privatization of Public Services. Debate, negotiation, and public speaking club members participated in the debate. In the final, the jury from two teams revealed one winning team. Each participant was awarded a certificate, while the winning team received additional symbolic prizes.
