Alte University announces an open competition for academic positions in the School of Law and Social Sciences in the following areas:
1. Professor
• Public law - basic human rights and freedoms (1 staff unit)
• International public law (1 staff unit)
• Civil law - civil procedural law (1 staff unit)
• Criminal law - general part of criminal law (1 staff unit)
• Criminal law - criminal legal process (1 staff unit)
2. Associate Professor
• Public law - basic human rights and freedoms (1 staff unit)
• International public law (1 staff unit)
• Civil law - civil procedural law (1 staff unit)
• Labor law (1 staff unit)
• Corporate law (1 staff unit)
• Criminal law - general part of criminal law (1 staff unit)
• Criminal law - criminal legal process (1 staff unit)
• Basics of sociology (1 staff unit)
Information for candidates participating in the competition:
Qualification requirements:
1. A professor who will be elected for a 5-year term:
Doctor's or equivalent academic/scientific degree in the relevant discipline;
At least 6 years of scientific-pedagogical activity experience;
Scientific publications and participation in conferences/seminars in the relevant field;
2. Associate professor, who will be elected for a term of 3 years:
PhD or equivalent scientific degree in the relevant discipline;
At least 3 years of scientific-pedagogical activity experience;
Scientific publications in the relevant field and experience of participation in conferences/seminars;
It is possible to select a person for an academic position on a professional basis if his qualification is confirmed by professional experience, special training and/or publications published in the relevant field and he has the necessary competence to produce the learning outcomes provided by the program.

Documents to be submitted to participate in the competition:
• Statement on the name of the President (see the attached file);
• Resume (CV) in Georgian and English;
• List of scientific works of the last 6 years (complete information about articles, books, monographs or other scientific works, which includes: title of the work, place of publication, date, number of pages and name of the publisher, as well as copies of the outer cover of the work (for the purposes of the competition, the last 6 (six) years of data (if any);
• Copy of ID card;
• Copies of qualification documents (diploma);
• Information about the dissertation topic (if any) (topic title, direction, field - if not specified in the resume);
• certificate of scientific-pedagogical activity (if any);
• certificates, awards and other documents;
• Other documentation corresponding to the established criteria for holding an academic/scientific position, documents confirming professional experience.
Competition stages:
• Stage I - selection of documents submitted by contestants.
• II stage - interview with the competition commission (it is possible to include a simulated lecture).
Competition deadlines:
• The competition is announced from March 11, 2024;
• Documents of those wishing to occupy an academic position will be received from April 11 to April 15, 2024;
• First stage of the competition - selection of documents: April 16-17, 2024;
• The second stage of the competition ¬ interview with the competition commission: ¬ April 19-23, 2024 (the exact date and time of the interview will be notified to the candidate after passing the first stage of the competition);
• Publication of competition results: April 24, 2024;
• Acceptance of the appeal application: April 25, 2024;
• Review of appeal applications: April 26-29, 2024;
• Publication of the final results of the competition: April 30, 2024.
