The Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a dynamic hub designed to support students, academic and administrative staff, and external stakeholders. The centre fosters an environment where all interested parties can tackle challenges, achieve goals, and succeed in both academic and entrepreneurial endeavors.
By promoting a variety of initiatives, we aim to develop entrepreneurial thinking and skills, leadership, and a creative and entrepreneurial spirit within our community.
The centre strengthens the connections between academia and industrial practice. By facilitating industry connections and global engagement, we emphasize the importance of intercultural understanding and global citizenship. Our initiatives support the development and commercialization of new technologies and ideas.
The centre operates according to ethical standards in all projects and activities and values open communication and the exchange of ideas.
Activities of the center:
- The Start-up Marathon is an annual event organized by the Alte University Business School and the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This unique project aims to raise awareness of entrepreneurship among graduating students, discover innovative start-up ideas, and promote their realization. In cooperation with TBC, Gita, and Entrepreneur Georgia, the project has already been implemented twice, in 2022 and 2023, with around 1,000 students participating.
- Tamashopolia is a one-month game design program implemented by the Alte University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center in collaboration with Gita. During this program, participants had the opportunity to create their own intelligent game. Tamashopolia refers to an educational approach based on the creation of board games, originating from the well-known game Monopoly.
Participants learn about idea generation, market research and analysis, design thinking, the use of digital technology tools, content creation, prototyping, customer feedback, general digital marketing principles, and agile and lean startup methodologies.
Within the framework of the program, 20 participants were selected to undergo a one-month intensive training course. At the end of the program, each team created games, resulting in a total of 5 games that were presented on demo day.
- Start-up Summer – To raise awareness of entrepreneurship and innovation among young people, the 'Start-up Summer' project was organized by the Alte University Business School and the Center ოფ Entrepreneurship and Innovation. This project involved conducting various activities in different regions of Georgia during the summer of 2022, including:
- The project 'School Innovators Clubs' was launched in 9 target municipalities of Georgia with the support of the European Union (EU) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in collaboration with the Youth Innovation Center. The purpose of these clubs is to develop the competencies required for employment among graduating students, involving Alte University in the process, and to discover and support innovative entrepreneurial ideas.
- In cooperation with Batumi American Corner and Batumi Technopark, training sessions, mentorship meetings, and a mini-marathon were held in Batumi, on Era Square, from July 27 to August 14.

- Moitane.ge is a startup that offers a quick delivery service to customers for their purchased products through both an application and a website. It was created and developed with the support of the Alte University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center. During the initial stages of the startup, Alte University provided the necessary space for the Moitane.ge team to optimize resources as they developed their business.
- Artificial Intelligence in Schools – This project by the Alte University School of Information Technologies and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center aims to train school teachers in the effective use of artificial intelligence techniques. The project began in the spring of 2024 and is set to conclude in the fall of the same year.
