Alte University Announces an Open Competition for the School of Business

Alte University announces an open competition for academic positions in the School of Business in the following areas:

 

Professor
 

  • Finance (1 full-time position)
  • Management (1 full-time position)
  • Economics (1 full-time position)
     

Associate Professor
 

  • Finance (2 full-time positions)
  • Management (2 full-time positions)
  • Marketing (1 full-time position)
  • Economics (1 full-time position)
     

Assistant Professor
 

  • Finance (1 full-time position)
  • Management (1 full-time position)
  • Economics (1 full-time position)

 

Information for candidates participating in the competition
 

Qualification requirements:
 

1. Associate professor, who will be elected for a 3-year term:
 

  • PhD or equivalent scientific degree in the relevant discipline;
  • At least 3 years of scientific-pedagogical activity experience;
  • Scientific publications in the relevant field and experience of participation in conferences/seminars;
     

2. Associate Professor (appointed for a 3-year term):
 

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent academic/scientific qualification in the relevant discipline;
  • At least 3 years of experience in academic and pedagogical activities;
  • Scientific publications in the relevant field and experience of participation in conferences and/or seminars.
     

3. Assistant Professor (appointed for a 3-year term):
 

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent academic/sccientific qualification in the relevant discipline;
  • Scientific publications in the relevant field and experience of participation in conferences and/or seminars.

 

A person may be selected for an academic position on a professional basis if his qualification is confirmed by professional experience, special training and/or publications published in the relevant field and he has the necessary competence to produce the learning outcomes provided by the program.

 

Personal qualities:

• Ability to think freely and critically;

•  responsible;

• Team and constructive

• Willingness to develop, cooperate with other people to improve knowledge;

• Initiate research and projects, seek funding and inspire/engage colleagues.

 

Documents to be submitted to participate in the competition:
 

• Statement on the name of the President (see the attached file);

• Resume (CV) in Georgian and English;

• List of scientific works of the last 6 years (full information about articles, books, monographs or other scientific works, which includes: title of the work, place of publication, date, number of pages and name of the publisher, as well as copies of the outer cover of the work (for the purposes of the competition, the last 6 (six) years of data (if any);

• Copy of ID card;

• Copies of qualification documents (diploma);

• Information about the dissertation topic (if any) (topic title, direction, field - if not specified in the resume);

• certificate of scientific-pedagogical activity (if any);

• certificates, awards and other documents;

• Other documentation corresponding to the established criteria for holding an academic/scientific position, documents confirming professional experience.

 

Competition stages:

• Stage I - selection of documents submitted by contestants.

• II stage - interview with the competition commission (it is possible to include a simulated lecture).

 

Competition deadlines:
 

  • The competition is announced starting 5 December 2025;
  • Submission of applications/documents for candidates seeking an academic position will be accepted from 5 January to 12 January 2026 (inclusive);
  • First stage of the competition – document screening: 12–13 January 2026;
  • Second stage of the competition – interview with the selection committee: 15–17 January 2026
    (the exact date and time of the interview will be communicated to candidates after passing the first stage);
  • Publication of competition results: 19 January 2026;
  • Submission of appeals: 20–21 January 2026;
  • Review of appeals: 22 January 2026;
  • Publication of final competition results: 23 January 2026.

 

Interested persons should send the competitive documentation package to the e-mail: hr@alte.edu.ge (indicating the vacancy/academic position and direction in the field of the letter) or submit it to the university at the address: st. Tbilisi, University st. N2. In the Department of Human Development and Affairs.
