Alte University Announces an Open Call for Academic Positions
at the School of Information Technology in the following field:
Computer Science
- Professor – 3 full-time positions
- Associate Professor – 5 full-time positions
- Assistant Professor – 4 full-time positions
- Assistant – 2 full-time positions
Information for Applicants:
Qualification Requirements:
Professor (elected for a term of 5 years):
- Doctoral degree or an equivalent academic/scientific degree in a relevant discipline;
- Minimum of 6 years of academic and scientific experience;
- Scientific publications and participation in conferences/seminars relevant to the field.
Associate Professor (elected for a term of 3 years):
- Doctoral degree or equivalent academic/scientific degree in a relevant discipline;
- Minimum of 3 years of academic and scientific experience;
- Scientific publications and experience participating in conferences/seminars.
Assistant Professor (elected for a term of 3 years):
- Doctoral degree or equivalent academic/scientific degree in a relevant field;
- Scientific publications and experience participating in conferences/seminars.
Assistant (elected for a term of 3 years):
- Doctoral student in a relevant field;
- Scientific publications and experience participating in conferences/seminars.
An individual may also be selected for an academic position based on professional merits, if their qualifications are demonstrated through relevant work experience, specialized training and/or published works in the field, and they possess the competencies necessary to achieve the learning outcomes outlined in the program.
Additional Requirements:
- English language proficiency (minimum B2 level for English-taught programs);
- Knowledge of office software;
- Active use of diverse teaching methods and digital tools;
- Experience in innovation and commercialization of research is preferred.

Required Documentation for Application:
- Application letter addressed to the President (see attached file);
- Resume (CV) in both Georgian and English;
- List of scientific works from the past 6 years (include full details: title, place and date of publication, number of pages, publisher, and copies of covers if available);
- Copy of ID;
- Copies of qualifications/diplomas;
- Dissertation topic details (if not mentioned in the CV: title, field, discipline);
- Certification of scientific-pedagogical work experience (if applicable);
- Certificates, awards, and any other relevant documents;
- Other documents supporting compliance with criteria for academic/scientific positions, including proof of professional experience.
Competition Stages:
Stage I – Screening of submitted documents.
Stage II – Interview with the selection committee (may include a simulated lecture).
Competition Timeline:
- Announcement date: June 13, 2025
- Submission of applications: July 14–16, 2025
- Stage I – Document screening: July 17–18, 2025
- Stage II – Interview with the committee: July 21–22, 2025
(Exact date and time will be communicated to candidates after Stage I) - Results announced: July 23, 2025
- Appeals submission: July 24, 2025
- Appeals reviewed: July 25, 2025
- Final results announced: July 28, 2025
